
Soichi Muraji (born July 14, 1982, in Tokyo) is a Japanese classical guitarist and the younger brother of Kaori Muraji. He began playing guitar at the age of three, studying under his father, Noboru Muraji. Later, he trained with Shinichi Fukuda and Daisuke Suzuki. As a teenager, he won several major competitions, including the Tokyo International Guitar Competition.
In 1999, Muraji moved to the United States to attend Walnut Hill School. There, he collaborated with students in ballet, theater, and composition, which broadened his musical vision. In 2003, he entered the Manhattan School of Music in New York and released his debut album Chaconne. While completing his studies, he continued touring and recording in Japan until his graduation in 2008.
Soichi Muraji returned to Japan in 2012 and was named “Tourism Ambassador of Taito” by his hometown. Since then, he has remained an active figure in the Japanese classical music scene. Known for both technical mastery and expressive performance, he continues to connect with audiences through a wide-ranging repertoire.
