Sharon Isbin is a classical guitarist renowned for her virtuoso playing and innovative collaborations. Born in Minnesota, Isbin began playing guitar at the age of nine and went on to study at Yale University and the Juilliard School.She has released numerous albums and performed with orchestras around the world, including the New York Philharmonic and the Berlin Philharmonic.

Isbin is also known for her collaborations with other musicians, including jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan and Indian classical musicians Amjad Ali Khan and Zakir Hussain.She has been recognised for her contributions to music with numerous Grammy awards and the National Medal of Arts.
