This guitar is essentially an acoustic guitar with a metal cone in place of the usual sound hole. These metal cones help the guitar resonate and project whatever tone is played. The result is a very loud and clear tone.Resonators are commonly used in bluegrass, country, Hawaiian, blues, and jazz music. There are various models with different types of cones that are better suited to different styles of music. Many resonator guitarists use slides, but you can play the resonator like you would a regular guitar.
