The Pentaport Rock Festival, held annually in Incheon, South Korea, is one of the nation’s largest live music events. Since 2006, it has taken place every August over three days, focusing on rock and electronic music. Its name comes from five themes: music, passion, eco-friendliness, DIY spirit, and friendship. The festival is staged at Dream Park, a former landfill west of Seoul.
Originally introduced in 1999 as the Tri-port Rock Festival, the event was canceled due to logistical problems. Revived in 2006 as Pentaport, it has since hosted major artists from Korea and abroad, including virtual editions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
