Nuno Bettencourt is a guitar god who pioneered the color of funky metal music, and he is known as a guitarist in the band Extreme. He was also named Best New Talent when the album Pornografitti came out in 1982. In 1987 the band Extreme he fronted won Outstanding Hard Rock Act, and he himself was nicknamed “the Next Eddie Van Halen”.

Nuno Bettencourt is a rock guitarist who is the best in his rhythm playing. Several other guitarists who can match his rhythm playing include: John Petrucci, Darren Housholder and several other funk metal players.

Nuno’s creativity in creating new playing techniques has been known since the first and second albums of his band Extreme, namely: “Extreme” and “Pornograffitti”. It’s no surprise that Nuno was named “Best New Talent” as soon as Extreme launched their second album “Pornograffitti”.
