The Montreal International Jazz Festival, held annually in Montreal, Quebec, is the world’s largest jazz festival according to Guinness World Records. Since its official launch in 1980, it has grown to feature about 3,000 artists from 30 countries. Each year, it offers more than 650 concerts—many of them free—and attracts over two million visitors.

Spanning ten days across 20 stages, from intimate clubs to venues like Place des Arts, the festival has become a cultural landmark. While the event faced cancellations and scaled-back editions during the COVID-19 pandemic, it remains a global celebration of jazz and related genres.
