Concert Program
Marco Battaglia will present a solo concert titled “From Opera to Fantasy,” featuring works by 19th-century Italian masters, including:
- Matteo Carcassi
- Antoine de Lhoyer
- Caspar Joseph Mertz
The program will highlight a recently discovered work by Carcassi, marking its world premiere in modern times. Mr. Battaglia will perform on a historic 19th-century guitar once owned by the famous Italian patriot Giuseppe Mazzini, crafted by Gennaro Fabricatore in 1811 in Napoli.
