Carlos Santana is a legendary Mexican-American guitarist and vocalist who was born on July 20, 1947 in Autlán de Navarro, Mexico. Santana is known as one of the best and most influential guitar players in the history of rock music.


Santana began playing the guitar at a young age and began his career by joining various bands in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1960s. In 1969, Santana and his band released their highly successful debut album, “Santana”. This album introduced a very innovative and creative guitar sound and combined elements of rock, jazz and Latin music.
