John 5 spoke about his first time in the studio with Mötley Crüe, noting how recording the band’s new crop of songs proved to be unlike any other studio experience he’s had so far.


The former Rob Zombie guitarist seems to be growing more comfortable with his new gig by the day, even though his official status within the band remains somewhat unclear. Having initially been brought in as a touring replacement for Mick Mars, who had retired from playing live shows due to increasing health difficulties caused by his Ankylosing Spondylitis, John 5 was still largely perceived as such when Mick Mars’ bombshell lawsuit brought up the levels of dirt that may yet prove to be too much even for Mötley.
