Jimi Hendrix Guitarist Profile

Jimi Hendrix was born on November 27, 1942 with the real name Johny Allen Hendrix. He was born in Seattle and grew up with his family. He first played guitar at the age of 15. But at that time Jimi Hendrix had not yet decided to fully pursue a career as a guitarist.
In 1961 he entered the military as a trainee and returned with honors the following year. Despite having good prospects for a career in the military, Jimi Hendrix returned to his original passion as a rock guitarist.
Jimi Hendrix’s career began by attending gigs and becoming a backing guitar player for several bands until 1965. In 1966 he decided to move to England. In England, he met several musicians who later became his playing partners.
