Guitar Dreadnought

The Dreadnought guitar was proposed and designed by C.F. Martin and Company in 1916. As seen in the picture, the dreadnought guitar is larger in size.

In addition, the sound produced was louder than the small acoustic guitars being played at the time. The Dreadnought is named after HMS Dreadnought – a contemporary giant warship launched in 1906.

The Dreadnought guitar quickly gained popularity among acoustic guitar players and is one of the most sought-after acoustic guitar variants on the market. Usually used to play music originating from the genres of rock, country, blues, and bluegrass.

The sound characteristics of the Dreadnought guitar are so loud and powerful that it doesn’t need additional support. Its appearance is slightly larger to achieve sufficient sound projection.
