Global Ensemble Championship (GEC)
The Global Ensemble Championship (GEC) is a prestigious biennial event, held every two years, with the upcoming competition scheduled for June 2025. We invite you to familiarize yourself with the guidelines and eligibility criteria and begin your preparations for this exciting event.

The 2025 GFA Global Ensemble Championship will feature a hybrid format, combining a pre-recorded preliminary round with a live final round at the convention venue.

Eligibility
The GFA Global Ensemble Championship (GEC) is a two-stage competition open to professional classical guitar ensembles, including duos, trios, and quartets. There are no age restrictions for participants.
How to Participate
- Registration begins on December 1, 2024.
- The competition follows a hybrid structure:
- Preliminary Round: Submit pre-recorded performances between February 26 and March 5, 2025.
- Finalists Announcement: March 13, 2025.
- Live Finals: Held in Louisville on June 20, 2025 (4:00–6:00 PM EST).
Important Note:
- GFA membership is mandatory but does not automatically register you for the competition.
- After becoming a member, you must complete a separate competition registration.
