Edward John O’Brien (born April 15, 1968) is an English guitarist, musician, and songwriter best known as a founding member of the legendary rock band Radiohead.

As an essential part of Radiohead’s sound, O’Brien contributes expansive and atmospheric guitar textures and creates many of the sound effects and samples that define the band’s music. His role often focuses on crafting ambiance and soundscapes rather than playing main melodic riffs, which has helped shape Radiohead’s unique identity.

Outside of Radiohead, O’Brien launched a solo career under the alias EOB. His debut album, Earth (2020), blends electronic, folk, and dance elements, showcasing his personal musical explorations.
