Andy McKee is an acoustic guitarist from Kansas who uses fingerstyle as his playing style. This man became famous through the Youtube video network.
McKee was introduced to the guitar at the age of thirteen, and his first guitar was an Aria with nylon strings. From there he began to love the guitar and developed his playing by himself. The man who created the song Drifting had switched his heart to the electric guitar because of his interest in the band Metallica.
It wasn’t until McKee saw Preston Reed, an acoustic musician, play that he began to relearn acoustic guitar techniques. He even dropped out of school to further explore fingerstyle techniques. Two neat videos of his playing were uploaded to Youtube, namely Rylynn and Drifting. His name as a fingerstyle guitarist has since emerged.
