
Jonny Greenwood (born November 5, 1971) is an English musician, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the lead guitarist and a founding member of Radiohead.
With Radiohead, Greenwood played a major role in every album, from Pablo Honey (1993) to A Moon Shaped Pool (2016). He also built a strong reputation as a film composer. Greenwood works often with director Paul Thomas Anderson, creating scores for There Will Be Blood (2007), The Master (2012), and Phantom Thread (2017). His work on Phantom Thread earned him an Academy Award nomination.
His style blends rock, electronic, and modern classical music. Rolling Stone named him one of the best guitarists in the world. Jonny Greenwood continues to record with Radiohead and release solo projects, proving himself as one of today’s most innovative musicians.
