The Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) is excited to announce the call for concert proposals for our highly anticipated 2026 Convention. We invite talented musicians and ensembles from across the globe to submit their proposals to perform at this premier event for classical guitar lovers, educators, and performers.
Submit Your Concert Proposal
We are seeking dynamic and innovative concert programs that will engage and inspire our diverse audience. Whether you are a solo artist, a duo, or part of an ensemble, we encourage you to apply and showcase your unique musical expression to the GFA community.
Proposal Content:
- Detailed concert program, including titles and composers of the pieces.
- Description of the performance concept or theme.
- Biography of the artist(s).
- Links to recent performance videos (preferably from the last two years).
Selection Process
Our selection process aims to ensure diverse and high-quality programming for the GFA 2026 Convention. Here’s how it works:
- Evening Concerts: A committee composed of three members from the GFA Board of Trustees will first select the headlining artists.
- Daytime Concerts: Following the selection of headliners, the committee will review all remaining concert proposals to fill approximately 5 to 6 additional daytime concert slots. Selections will be based on the same criteria of artistic excellence, originality, and relevance to the GFA community.
